Reflection

I was already about to take a step of the clouds and make glimpse of the clear blue sky above until I realized that I was still fingertips away. I still need to help myself from reaching what is up so I never stopped.

Third grading period is about to end but the race has not yet ended. The main reason why I was really urged to strive harder and to prove what I really deserve. Though I wasn’t the leader of our group project which was given earlier for us to work on, I put all the best I could just to make the most presentable output. We may not have the most beautiful work but at least each member in our group contributed for the project’s betterment.

During this grading period, we had missed so many classes because of attending such extra-curricular activities like the Division Schools Press Conference, Pre-RSPC Write shop, Regional Schools Press Conference but we never failed to forget our academics. Academics is still in our top priorities so we did what we could just to make up for what we had missed.

Third grading period is about to end but I keep on reminding myself that it’s not yet the end of the race. I still have time to prove myself and to prove that I need to get what I deserve.

The New Me in 2015

"Let your dreams be bigger than your fears and let you actions be louder than your words. Make a difference." These were the words which urged me to become fearless in this year 2015. It's telling me to stand up for something even though, it may mean standing alone.

During the year 2014, I have been a coward. My feet were glued with fear which made me can not even take a single leap or step. And as the new year stars, I wish to remove this glue which is sticking me with my fears. I wish that I could escape from the hole of fear where I am trapped in to. I wish I could leave my fears behind and run away from them. I wish to chase my own future and reach for them as if they are just in the next room waiting for me. I will shape my own self as if making a pot. Breakable but can be still reshaped again. I wish to make my own future for my future lies within my hands. I have the power to make my own future.

2015 is giving me so much thoughts in my mind. One is the big G. Graduation. Am I ready to leave the foot steps I had just imprinted in my very own Alma Mater? Am I armored with enough knowledge to fight for my College life? Questions start to flood me. Slowly, they are seeking for answers. And soon enough, I can't wait to feed these doubts inside me.

In this new year, I will become fearless. I will be brave enough to face the challenges whatever life may bring. At some point in time, I will surely be down on my knees but a helping hand will always be there to make me stand. And He will be no other than the Lord God. He will never leave. He will never fail me. He will always be there for me.

And if there's one thing I have learned something in life.... that is we're all a little stronger than we think we are.

The Essence of Christmas

Christmas is a time to renew bonds of love. It's a wonderful time when loved ones can show appreciation for each other. It's also a great time to use that love to build bridges of understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness.
Not because of the decorations, all the parties, Santa Claus and the numerous other events going on, but the REAL meaning of the birth of the Christ Child. You will notice that in the above I didn't mention presents. There are those who believe that is all the Christmas means to some people and quite so, but I like to think it's because the three Wise Men brought gifts to the baby Jesus and that is how gifts became one of the symbols of Christmas. However our belief is, the holiday is worldwide and many people celebrate Christmas in one form or another.
But who can ignore the beautiful music at this time of year, the choirs, concerts, symphonies, musicals, ballet, TV specials, kiddies TV specials and all the merriment that takes place? To see the children eagerly awaiting their seat on Santa's lap to tell him what they want to see under their tree.
Christmas is best enjoyed when it isn't centered on decorations, gifts, or festivities, but when love is at its core. Love is the essence of Christmas. Christmas should mean taking quality time with your family and friends. It's about cherishing and celebrating the love you share.

STOP CLIMATE CHANGE!

Nowadays climate change is the biggest problem of the human being. It is already happening and represents one of the greatest environmental, social and economic threats facing the planet.
The climate can affect every person and our health directly through increases in temperature. Such increases may lead to more extreme heat waves during the summer while producing less extreme cold spells during the winter. Particular segments of the population such as those with heart problems, asthma, the elderly, and the very young can be especially vulnerable to extreme heat. There can be extreme floods and droughts, hurricanes.
Nowadays there are so many factories that exhale really destructive substances and pollute the air. We all know very well that air is something we can’t live without. When we breathe the polluted air, we can get seriously

ill. Ground-level ozone can damage lung tissue, and is especially harmful for those with asthma and other chronic lung diseases. Sunlight and high temperatures, combined with other pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds, can cause the ground-level ozone to increase. We cannot escape from the polluted air-it’s everywhere, even in our homes and we are breathing it non-stop. This can cause cancer and other serious diseases.
As a conclusion, the UN should prioritize combating climate change over reducing poverty. Of course, poverty is a big issue, which needs a solution but have you ever asked yourself why the poor countries like Bangladesh, Gambia, Zambia are poor and why so many people die? It’s because the climate doesn’t allow them to grow food and they can’t afford to buy it from other countries. The climate is a very important thing and if we don’t stop the changes soon, more and more plants and trees are going to die, we won’t have enough food and then not only will the third world countries suffer from hunger but so will the whole world. I think it is better to first stop the changes in climate and then gradually reduce the hunger in the poor countries. Because if we stop the changes, we are going to be healthier and everything around us will be cleaner and it will be how it actually should be. I believe harmony between nature and human beings will return.

National Reading Month Celebration

Since the beginning of civilization, people have developed different languages. One of it was English language. English language is now known as the global language.
English was scattered to all parts of the globe. From Britain to all parts of the world. Together with the advancement of technology, English was then carried. English language is now used as the best weapon in touching our hearts, minds and even our soul.
We cannot create good compositions without the combined power of two. Heart for expressing our feelings, imagination, thoughts and others. Minds for thinking what’s good or right. With the heart and mind, we can develop our literacy and English Proficiency which can lead to a more progressive country.
